Social Work Student Leadership Committee
The Social Work Student Leadership Committee (SWSLC) is responsible for recruiting student members, developing support structures for social work students across New York State, and contributing to the social work student series.

Committee Responsibilities
  • Maintain a committee for students to bring up issues that are most important to them and work on implementing plans and goals to address them
  • Help close the gap between students and the NASW
  • Develop more programs and events centering student voices and interests
  • Build closer relationships with colleges and universities to encourage student involvement in the NASW
  • Create subcommittees to accommodate students interests and goals
  • Address student concerns about issues like internship opportunities and hours
