Social Work Awards Committee
The Social Work Awards Committee (SWA) is responsible for ensuring the nomination and selection process is consistent, transparent, and unbiased each award season. The purpose of the Social Work Awards Committee is to celebrate the good work of social workers, raise awareness for the profession of social work, and highlight the tenants of social work ethics and values.

Committee Responsibilities
  • The Social Work Awards Committee shall be formed at the beginning of each award cycle (i.e. in August for July awards the following year)

  • Serving on the Social Work Awards Committee will disqualify members from being eligible to nominate or be nominated for ANY AND ALL awards during any award season in which they serve.

  • The Social Work Awards Committee shall be responsible for updating and maintaining the criteria for each award every award season.

  • The Social Work Awards Committee is responsible for determining awardees based on a clear and transparent, unbiased, selection process.
