Come and join your social workers from 6 p.m. to 9.pm. on Tuesday, May 22, and enjoy an assortment of buffet-style dinner and raffle prizes while you network and socialize with your industry peers!
There will be a continuing education workshop titled, "Political Social Work: The Role of Social Workers inPolitics" available for 1.5 continuing education credit hours.
Proceeds raised will support the sponsoring associations' scholarship funds

Political Social Work: The Role of Social Workers in Politics:
This workshop is approved for 1.5 continuing education contact hours
Political Social Work: The Role of Social Workers in Politics will explore the historical role of social workers in the political sphere. Participants will be presented with different ways that they can become actively involved in the formation of policy on a local state and national level and the ways in which this participation will improve their practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will leave with an understanding of the role of social workers in the political process.
- Participants will leave with an understanding of the importance of social workers political and social action.
