Social work is rooted in advocacy. In the past couple of months, the social work profession was presented with a myriad of social issues to address and combat. These issues are not new, but they have recently been given the national spotlight.

The Black Lives Matter movement, the pandemic, health care, systemic racism, education inequality, etc. are all prominent now. Through the Spirit of Social Work project, the NASW-NYS wants to hear how your experience as a social worker contributed or changed throughout these movements.
