This workshop focuses on community change through social action. Attendees will learn about action planning, community building methods, community organizing and social action theories.
Learning Objectives:
After the completion of this webinar, participants will:
- Attendees will be able to apply community organizing theories
- Attendees will be able to apply social action theories
- Attendees will be able to formulate an action plan for community change

Rachel L. West, LMSW, holds a BA in History from SUNY Stony Brook and Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University. She is an ACOSA board member, Instructor at SUNY Stony Brook - School of Social Welfare, and founding #MacroSW chat partner. Since 2013, Rachel has provided consultation to social good organizations regarding advocacy and community outreach, as well as career coaching to macro practice social workers.
