Workshop Description
This course is aimed at empowering leaders to foster inclusive environments within their organizations. The workshop will facilitate space for participants to explore the importance of inclusivity, delve into historical and contemporary challenges, and discover actionable strategies for promoting inclusivity at every level. Through interactive activities and reflective discussions, the workshop will provide insights into redefining organizational purpose, prioritizing employee care, and fostering a culture of belonging. The course will also equip participants with a roadmap for implementing meaningful change and creating workplaces where all individuals feel valued and empowered to succeed.
Learning Objectives
After the completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Define the concept of inclusivity in the workplace and its significance for organizational success.
2. Identify the role of leadership in fostering an inclusive organizational culture.
3. Evaluate organizational practices and policies to identify areas for improvement in promoting inclusivity.
4. Explain best approaches in collaborating with peers to share insights and experiences in promoting inclusivity.
5. Construct a personalized action plan for fostering inclusivity within their own teams or organizations.

Charla Yearwood, MSSW, LCSW. Charla Cannon Yearwood (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker and the CEO of Connected in Community, an Indianapolis-based mental health practice that specializes in the integration of social justice values. Dedicated to anti-racist and liberatory approaches, Charla actively engages in projects and teaching related to anti-oppressive social work practice.
