Workshop Description
Trauma has a profound impact on clients, and a comprehensive understanding of how trauma manifests is essential. This workshop offers practical skills and knowledge to support clients who have experienced trauma. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive activities, the presenter will describe trauma responses, including the fawn, freeze, faint, flight, and fight, and how to identify them in clients. The workshop will also explore evidence-based strategies for building resilience and promoting healing in clients who have experienced trauma. The workshop will provide the tools and strategies for social workers to help their clients navigate trauma responses and work towards building a sense of safety, trust, and resilience.
