Workshop Description
Social workers’ use of telehealth - providing mental health care services remotely and through communication technologies - grew rapidly and shows no signs of slowing down. This course is designed to teach New York social workers their responsibilities when providing telehealth services and where to find the rules and official guidance on them. The presenter will provide information about HIPAA-compliant platforms, the requirements for informed consent, and out-of-state practice. In addition, the presenter will consider the advantages and disadvantages of telehealth and discuss best practices.

3. Describe best practices for the use of telehealth
