Workshop Description
Covid-19 has brought incredible challenges to almost every society. These include the heightened awareness of existing inequalities through the immense tolls that the virus has afflicted on older adults, particularly those whose vulnerability is increased due to race, ethnicity, and poverty. Social work with its focus on oppression and injustice can intervene at many levels to alleviate these disparities and increase the well-being of older adults and their families. Particular attention will be given to the role virtual interventions can play in assisting these persons.
