Workshop Description

This workshop teaches social workers the value of human relationships, service, integrity and competence. Participants will review Social Capital Theory and its use for practice with families of children with development disabilities. Attendees will learn how networking and connections play a key role in the decision making process. This will help practitioners in resources development and helping clients identifying appropriate and accessible services. Participants will learn about their instrumental role in the decision making process parents and caregivers get involved in depending on the resources available to them.
