2-part webinar will discuss the complexities of adoption search and reunions and the social worker’s role with working with their clients. Presentation will include information on the reasons a person does a search, how to prepare for a reunion, understanding the complexities of reunions and characteristics of successful reunion relationships.
Learning Objectives:
After the completion of this webinar, participants will:
- Participants will learn the reasons a person does a search and a reunion
- Participants will learn about society, social work practice and extended family’s influences on adoption triad members & reunion relationship
- Participants will learn about complexities of reunion relationships including trauma & genetic attraction
- Participants will learn key factors of successful reunion relationships
- Participants will learn about the social workers role in helping clients with their reunion and therapy considerations with clients

Marie Dolfi, LCSW is an adoption constellation therapist, advocate, and trainer. After working as a clinian in inpatient and outpatient settings, Marie decied to specialize her private practice to working with adoption constellation members and prospective adoptive parents. Over the years, Marie has participated on numerous adoption organization boards, as well as presenting at local, state, and national adoption conferences.
