SAVE THE DATE February 25, 2022

The last few years have been a time of universal grief with many crises leading to social unrest, exposing weaknesses in our country. During this time of isolation, we have lost connections and community. However, where there are crises, there are social workers. Now more than ever, social workers will need to work together, putting their education and values into action to rebuild community and connections for ourselves and our clients. The future will bring years of healing and growth as we rise above our old identity and begin anew as survivors. WE ARE MOVING FORWARD, TOGETHER.

The 2022 Survive and Thrive Student Conference has been developed to support BSW, MSW, Doctoral and allied mental health students through a day of virtual programming. The overall goal is to create a more stable foundation and professional network for social work students preparing to enter the workforce. In response to a year that demands innovative methods to affect change, this conference will unite social work students to prepare as individual change agents and realize the collective power they possess as the NYS social work student body.  Please join us on February 25, 2022, for a day of networking, tips, and tools for taking the next steps in your social work career!

SUNY Buffalo, MSW Student

"I thought this conference over all was very, very helpful. It helped me understand a lot of things better like getting my license and helped me to find different connections for after graduation."

Keuka College, BSW Student

"I so appreciate the efforts to curate such a fantastic group of presenters. I left the conference with my mind full of information and possibilities, and my heart full of encouragement. So many of the sessions were directly on point with issues I was currently facing, and I will be able to immediately apply some of what was discussed, while other things I will be working on for years to come. Thank you!"

SUNY Albany, MSW Student

"This was amazing, and I hope this is continued for years to come. This was an invaluable resource for me, and I wish that more people had taken advantage of the opportunity. "
